Sharing and Caring Program (Pictures Below)
As many of you know, the Katia Solomon Foundation was established to bring the much needed education and awareness to our community of what it is to be Bone Marrow and blood product donors, saving lives in the process.
Also you know that we establish a relationship with families facing the many life threatening blood related diseases by offering our support and friendship, a guide as they traverse the painful road to hopeful recovery.
Along the way we have found that so many facing these trying medical and emotional needs are confronted with devastating financial crisis, much of the time not being able to meet the smallest of daily obligations.
The Katia Solomon Foundation developed a program to assist in the payment of utility bills and the basic sustenance (i.e. groceries) of families to help them focus on the priority of caring for their family members fighting for life.
As of recent, we have received many requests to help the poor families in our community whom lack the basic household needs and comforts, to bring their recuperating loved ones back into a warm and comfortable home.
This being said, The Katia Solomon Foundation has embarked on a new program, dependent on your response. The “Sharing and Caring Program” We have leased a small storage space to help us house donated household goods and appliances (i.e. washers, dryers, cribs, wheelchairs, walkers, furniture for all rooms, mattresses, microwave ovens, TV’s, computers, toys, etc..) that will be made available to families lacking the ability to secure these needs that so many take for granted.
We would ask that these items be in ready to use and in good and working condition.
Already we have been privileged to reach out to several families referred to us by our friends and partners at All Children’s Hospital, local church groups, and let me tell you… The Word spreads quickly!
This is a real need... a worthy venture!
It is our desire to make this available not only to families facing life threatening issues, but to also reach out into our community to the many whom might be facing loss due to fire or floods, vandalism and/or poverty and struggle to rebuild their homes due to a fragile economy.
I know these are trying times for all...
But I know that together we can make a difference once again! If even to just one in need... that reaches out for our support.

How you can help...
1. We seek sponsors that will team up with The Katia Solomon Foundation in covering the cost of the storage space.
2. We ask for you to spread the word of this program in your workplaces, churches, and neighborhoods so that we can build our supply, therefore having the available donations to share with the many requests coming in for help.
3. Let us know of someone in need near you! How we can possibly help... How you can possibly help...
4. Donate a tax deductible contribution to the Katia Solomon Foundation; help us to build on the work of reaching out to the many that depend on us. Any amount can make a difference!
